As protesters took to the streets of Iran following the death in detention of Mahsa Amini on September 16, 2022, a 22-year-old woman was apprehended for apparently not wearing her hijab properly. Videos of the uprising began to flood the internet. Clips of students tearing up pictures of Iran's Supreme Leader were seen all over the cities in Iran. Photos show women removing their hijabs in Iran's capital, Tehran. Videos of protesters marching down the streets of the capital with their fists in the air. The outpouring of anger following Amini's death was visible to the world.
But then it went dark as WhatsApp, Signal, Viber, Skype, and even Instagram, one of the last remaining social media apps to be usable, were blocked
We are a group of volunteers from all over the world who want to support Iran's revolution by using the internet as a primary tool for raising awareness.
International pressure is the only way to keep the regime from killing Iranians.
We are a group of volunteers from all over the world who want to support Iran's revolution by using the internet as a primary tool for raising awareness.
We believe that international pressure is the only way to keep the regime from killing Iranians.
The money will be put into a fund to help us provide VPNs for people inside Iran.
Right now, due to sanctions, it is not possible to have international bank transactions with Iranian accounts, and people cannot buy VPNs because they cannot access the free web. Also, many Iranian citizens are unfamiliar with the technical know-how necessary to be able to bypass the governmentally enforced internet restrictions.
As a group of volunteers residing outside Iran, we attempt to make the process more secure, faster and, of course, free for anyone living in Iran so as to connect with the free world.
Previously, we have provided over 500 Iranians with access to secure VPNs so they can communicate with the outside world. The pressure of the Iranian government to cut off people's access to the Internet is increasing every day. The Iranian government is under increasing pressure to cut off people's Internet access. The lack of communication between Iranians and the free world has made it difficult to inform people about the country's critical situation, allowing the Iranian regime to suppress even more. On the other hand, the Iranian government installs numerous VPN applications on people's smartphones, allowing them to spy on, track, and eventually arrest protesters. Our goal is to ensure the security of the Iranian people while also providing them with Internet access.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could help us keep in touch with these courageous women and men fighting for their freedom.
